For the very first time in cinema, after five years in the making, Director and Producer JONATHON KAY brings to the screen this enchanting film about nature’s most wonderful miracles.
It turns out Lindsay Lohan is not the sole candidate to portray Elizabeth Taylor in “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story”. Met at the Weinstein Company Golden Globes after-party, Larry Thompson who will executive produce the Lifetime biopic said that Megan Fox is also in the running for the lead role.
“Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story” will chronicle Taylor’s romantic relationship with Welsh actor Richard Burton. Christopher Monger is tapped to provide the script for the project, which is expected to start shooting in Canada as soon as this spring.
After parting ways with “Transformers” film franchise, Megan Fox was recently seen in “Passion Play”. She will next grace the big screen through drama comedy movies, “Friends with Kids” and “The Dictator”.
Who knew people liked hot girls on the Internet? Facebook has released its “Memology 2011″ report, and it turns out Megan Fox and Rihanna both surged in popularity this year thanks to millions of “Likes” on the 7-year-old social network.
With more than 29 million fans, Fox’s official page was named the fastest-growing entertainment page, while Rihanna’s page won the music category with more than 47 million “Likes.” Rihanna also had the most-played song on Facebook with “We Found Love,” which was followed by Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”
While Rihanna had a big year with two albums charting on Billboard, a massive tour and a few key guest spots, Megan Fox’s surging popularity is a little more perplexing. Did people just feel bad for her unappreciated work on Passion Play? We thought for sure her popularity would take a hit after Rosie Huntington-Whiteley took her place in the Transformers franchise, but Fox is as popular as ever.
In other metrics measured in the new report, Charlie Sheen made the list of Facebook’s top trends found in people’s status updates, but the top two spots were both reserved for some very Facebook language: “lms” (like my status) and “tbh” (to be honest). Check out the full report here.
Gentlemen may prefer blondes — but Megan Fox would now prefer to have her giant Marilyn Monroe tattoo erased from her right forearm.
The 25-year-old star confirmed to Italian fashion magazine Amica that she is in the process of removing (via laser treatments) the talked-about portrait of the Hollywood legend from her famous body.
But the Transformers bombshell has plenty of other body art staying on — with over nine other tattoos, including a quote in honor of her Passion Play costar Mickey Rourke on her ribcage, a tribal tattoo on her left wrist and another quote on her shoulder.
Fox also fesses up to removing, like so many young women before her, a naval piercing.
Rebecca Wang posted an old interview on her website of Megan Fox on set of ‘Passion Play.’ I also added captures of the video to our gallery.
A sensual and mysterious Megan Fox – with wings. That alone should warrant multiple film viewings, but throw in some obsessed Mickey Rourke, sassy Kelly Lynch (love her!) and unsettling Bill Murray and you’ve got the new to DVD/Blu-ray flick “Passion Play” hitting shelves on May 31 from Image Entertainment. Rourke plays a washed-up jazz musician on the run from gangster Murray who happens upon angelic carnival bird woman Fox and sees a way to possibly wash his dirty slate clean. Rife with many twists and turns in a noir world where nothing is as it seems, the film is the directorial debut of “Scrooged” and “The Recruit” screenwriter Mitch Glazer. (Who is also married to the ever-timeless Lynch – lucky dog!) Starpulse got a chance to chat one-on-one with Glazer about his journey getting the film to the screen, securing his eclectic cast and the insight behind having a lead character with wings.
Megan Fox has a very ethereal quality in this film that we haven’t seen from her before – was that a conscious decision on your part during the casting and shooting?
Can you talk about Megan Fox’s wings for a moment – how did they either help or hinder in terms of making the film?
